However, with a large number of startups joining on Instagram you need to ensure that you are well noticed by your targeted users.   1. #Perfect #Photographs
    Instagram is all about the photos and the videos while everything else is secondary. You have to make sure that your photographs are brilliant enough to catch attention. Brilliant could mean that you have to hire a professional photographer and get the pictures clicked and get them edited well. A good picture is what draws the attention and that should be your first hit.

  2.  #Appropriate #Hashtags
    This is no SEO process but it is as important as that. The hashtags that you choose for your pictures must be searched first and if there is a 6 figure number of posts with the same hashtags used, then you are good to go. Along with general hashtags, also create some of your own unique hashtags. Often in order to attract traffic, companies apply hashtags which may or may not necessarily apply to their picture. Avoid making such mistakes and be sure to apply a good relevant set of hashtags.

    If you are new on Instagram as a page, you will have to get your existence noticed and that will only happen if you follow people. Once you follow them, around 30-40% of them will request to follow you back. That is how you build. One tip though, before following anybody make sure you have a bare minimum of at least 20 posts put up so that if the people you have followed want to see what you are about, they get enough ideas to be able to follow you back. Post a good mixture of different relevant images and let the captions and content reflect what you are and your brand identity. 
  4. #Information #Tactics
    Now we assume that you have a decent follower base so you can get on with posting more concrete things about your product(s) or service(s). The trick to do that is by giving only that much information as much as required. You do not want to load it with all the information but rather post a link so that the audience can click on it and get them engaged with your brand. You could also initiate them for a ‘direct message’ in order to know more details if they do not want to go outside Instagram.
  5.  #Live #Videos
    Now that Instagram has recently updated itself to be able to support stories and live videos, it could be a great tool to promote your business online. Conduct a live feed from time to time to showcase the exciting things you product(s) or service(s) has to offer. Keep updating Instagram stories to make it more appealing and exciting. When you have a similar feed running in your posts as well as stories, it makes the audience more aware and conscious about it.

    Keep a diverse range of posts which includes videos as well. Show some behind the scenes work clips. Include the founder CEO of your company in these posts. Bridge the gaps between the company and its potential customers.

    While launching something new, make sure to give teasers and sneak-peaks of it. Generating the right amount of excitement and enthusiasm is necessary for enabling a crowd of customers wanting to purchase. Make exciting offers and engage the audience. Also you could have competitions on Instagram and distribute prizes relevant to your product/service offerings.
  8. #Time #Matters
    When to post what is an important and crucial step in Instagram Marketing. You must keep a track of what time of the day do you receive maximum likes and comments on your posts. You have to also post hashtags trending at that time frame to gain viewership.
  9. #Feedback
    Do not shy away from getting feedback from your customers. You are a new company and your plans may not go the way you expect them to go. Hence be open to feedback and suggestions. Encourage your audience to freely comment on your product/service and keep making improvements.
